Break out your bartender costumes because you are about to be the talk of the Halloween season. These classic cocktails are getting a spooky twist that will have you the talk of any ghoulish gathering.

If there's a time of year when the EXTRA in everybody comes out, its when the autumnal equinox hits. Gaudy goodies come alive, especially in the Halloween cocktail arena. Anything from a simple Dark and Spooky to a Deviled Margarita is fair game this October. But what if cocktail making isn't your forte? It's certainly not mine, I don't want to be nixed from this spooky party trick.

Raise your hand if you know how to make a Screwdriver? A vodka cranberry? A vodka anything? I secretly hope you really did raise your hand. Well, great because that’s about the extent of my cocktail making as well. Anything beyond two ingredients, take me out, coach. But I have discovered two ingredients you'll need for all your spooktacular needs this season that will literally turn your classics into black magic.

1. Wilton Color Right (Refill Version) - Black
2. Wilton Pearl Dust- Pearl

I picked both of these up from Michael's for about $5 each. But, don't forget about that 40% off coupon!

Add one or add both and this will transform any drink you have in front of you. Cocktails, mocktails, or even water if you wanna give your coworkers and gym mates a real scare.

The pearl dust will give your drink that 'crystal ball' look your seeking. If you've ever swigged a bottle of Viniq Liqueur you know what kind of crystal flurries I'm talking about. It tends to work bet in darker drinks, but you can still see a slight sparkle in your lighter colored drinks.

The black food coloring can be displayed a few ways in your Halloween cocktail. Drop a couple drops in your drink and either let them stream down or swirl it around.

If you swirl the ingredients together the whole drink will turn a black color. I recommend one drop because this dye is wicked strong. A little slow swirl will give it a very poison looking eerie effect.
