We are all familiar with the fact it is hotter than hell this summer in the Las Vegas Valley. Seeing 117 on my temperature snapchat filter does not exactly excite me about going out. The temperatures are warmer and the days longer so fill your time up with fun activities and some summer lovin'!
51s Baseball Game
Nothing says summer like a cold beer and some cracker jacks. The 51s play multiple games a week and offer various promotions for spectators to enjoy. Enjoy $1 food night, swag giveaways, and sometimes the unexpected firework show. Tickets start at $12 and go up from there.
Super Summer Theater
Get away from the city and settle down in the mountains for a play. This summer the shows are "In The Heights," "Man of La Mancha," and "Young Frankenstein." Pack a cooler, a blanket (maybe two because believe it or not, it gets pretty chilly up there), and some chairs for the ultimate night time picnic. Reserve your seat early as dates do tend to sell out. Tickets are usually $15, and it is all general seating.
Axe Monkeys
Work hard play hard. Axe Monkeys is the spot to show off your target skills. You can learn to throw from the axe trainers, practice and have fun! Plus, aren't you just the tiniest bit curious about how it feels to throw a sharp object full force at the wall haha. $25 an hour and sometimes reservations are required.
Brunch
Who says dates have to be when the sun goes down? Some of my favorite brunch places include Los Cucos because of their amazing Mexican breakfast buffet, Grand Lux Cafe for their top of the line bellinis and mimosas, and Dirty Fork which is a new upcoming spot on the southwest side.
Glass Blowing Viewing
If you think it's hot outside, take a step inside this studio, and you will almost feel flames on you. Domsky Glass has an open house the first Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of each month. They have specialists come in and design glass pieces right before your eyes. You can glance around the studio and see all of the different pieces the artists have been working on too. These events are typically FREE.
Paddle Boarding
Lake Las Vegas is a small oasis about 40 minutes off the strip. With boats, restaurants, and live music it can be a cute get away. They offer a ton of water activities, but paddle boarding is the most relaxing in my opinion. Trust me, the pedal boats look fun but don't let the yellow exterior fool you. Usually $20 for a loose hour or so.
Dive in Movies
The M, TopGolf, The Cosmopolitan, and various other places all offer movies and a dip. Sit along the edge or if you're extra (like me) bring an inflatable and float through a movie. There's usually food and drinks to snack on as well. You can look up the movie schedule to see what movie is playing when! Admission is about $5-7.
Flowrider
No, not the R&B singer rappin' about boots & fur, I mean a REAL indoor wave machine. Get on that pro surfer level and try out the Flowrider. This intense box of waves is great for curing those beach vibes for novices and pros alike. $25 for a half hour session. Hang-loose.
The Auto Collection
Located on the 5th floor of The Linq you will have the opportunity to see some pretty rad looking cars. Go through the decades and over 300 different types of classic automobiles. This exhibit is constantly changing so even if you have been before, go again. Admission is $13.

I've never considered Vegas for all the activities you listed. It looks like a lot of fun. And its also great to get off the strip for a change.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great venue. I was here for a party and there was so much food and it was all done so well! The decor and food from venues in Los Angeles were amazing. Personally, I think the space is laid out really well and the size of the venue keeps pulling great parties.
