25 Reasons to be Single for the 25 Days of Christmas

1. You don't have to share your holiday treats.
Mhmm. No way that box of Ferrero Rocher Fine Hazelnut Chocolates is all yours. We all know there are certain candies you can only get once a year.... you should not have to face the pressure of sharing them. 

2. No one can judge you for wanting to stay home and watch CBS's marathon of  A Christmas Story for the full 24 hours. 
Think about it. CBS has actually got your back. They are simply saying "We got you girl, were not going anywhere."

3. You don't have to buy anyone gifts!
You just saved a bunch of money on Christmas gifts by switching to single. 

4. You can take the money you saved from buying someone else a gift, and buy yourself a gift.
To me that sounds like an all around win-win. 

5. All the leftovers from the holiday parties are actually yours
You do not have to worry about someone else eating that left over pumpkin pie you loved so much because there is no one there to take it!

6. You do not have to try and wiggle your way out of a christmas photo.
You simply, just wont have to take one. Or on the contrary you do not have to beg your significant other to take this dorky photo with you to send all to all you friends. 

7. Momentum to your New Years Resolution
This little lapse of time is a great force to get you motivated towards your New Years resolution. Set a new intent and new goals for you to achieve.

8. You can dedicate the entire holiday to just you
Treat yo'self. No more splitting holidays between families. Its a lot of work to go between houses for holidays. Just skip that step all together. You also can avoid all the questions about when you're going to get married, have kids, etc. BONUS!

9. YOU decide what holiday parties you're going to
Do not worry about dragging yourself to some ugly christmas sweater party full of people you don't know because they are a friend of a friend of your significant other. 

10. You do not have to pretend to like the gift you got fro your significant other.
Seriously, I think we can all agree that that is a relieving feeling. Pretending you like something can be so awkward when you suck at lying. 

11. You can listen to as much or as little holiday music as you like.
Don't accommodate anyone's christmas spirit.

12. You can buy that perfect holiday dress and hope for the best.
Impress yourself before you impress anyone else though. 

13. You will not get anybody to decorate cookies with you, so you don't even have to ask.
Despite what the movies sayThats a DIY until the day you die. 

14. Christmas sing-alongs are not in your future.
Can anyone else belt out "Baby, It's cold outside," the way you do? No. Be your own American Idol.

15. Mistletoe is overrated and is never actually at a holiday party like all the songs suggest.
Single or not, you can dodge that bullet. 

16. You can sit back and enjoy the christmas themed Tinder pick-up lines.  
"Shouldn't you be sitting on top of the tree, angel?"

17. You don't have to act surprised if he pops the question Christmas eve and you already knew.
You've got some more time to work on that expression.

18. No one will pull you under the lighted archway with false expectations.
Because we all know visions of sugar plums are not dancing in their heads. 

19. Get the hell out of here
No strings attached. Take a vacation to where YOU want to go. Grab your other single friends too. 

20. You don't have to worry about that awkward interaction of his parents giving you a gift.
Yes, because you don't have enough bath and body works already. Hello?! Buy three get three free.

21. No one expects you to send a holiday card.
Because all of your family totally needs another picture of you and your cat.

22. You can do more important things this holiday season.
There are worse things in the world than not knowing who to bring to your next holiday party. You can go volunteer, maybe even more than once?

23. Get in shape... or don't.
No one can tell you if you should eat another cookie or go run that hot chocolate off. The choice is all yours and that in itself is glorious. 

24. You can hang out with your mom.
Literally the whole holiday season. 

25. You can sleep in on Christmas day. 
No hustle and bustle necessary. The only person waking you up should be santa's sleigh on your roof.
