There is a lot of
talk about women bringing women down. I get it, sometimes its nice just to get
your feelings out there in the world because your frustrations get the best of
you. Realistically, we should not belittle other women to make ourselves feel better.
It should be women with women, not against. Since so much time has been spent
on the “woman vs woman” battle, I think we need to remind ourselves, that as
females, there are plenty of things we do that only women understand. These
things I personally enjoy about the girls in general, because no one else will
really ever understand.
- Offer their friends a sip of their Starbucks without being asked
- Give a compliment to someone and then they proceed to tell her where they got it from.
- Say things like “Smell this lotion I bought this weekend.”
- Compliment each other’s eyebrows.
- Decode text messages like its Pentagon worthy news.
- That thing when they agree with you and their eyes get really wide and they nod their head solemnly
- Express the same amount of emotion for something
- Send selfies to each other before going out to make sure were all on the same level of “dressed up.”
- Throw out each other’s gum wrappers or chip bags when they get up
- Stand and finish the conversation before going our separate ways.
- We can share awkward stories, like getting waxed, because we all do it.
- “I want a cookie, but I don’t want the whole cookie…” We’ll split it.
- Use our period as an excuse to get out of stuff.
- We have no problem taking pictures for an hour, even if the event were at is an hour long.
- We use the buddy system. We never go into a bathroom alone.
- If a super girly song comes on we are perfectly fine belting out every word off key.
